This medium weight fabric made from cotton is best with a fine needle, such as a 10 or 12. This needle size may change depending on the amount of layers of fabric used. 

It will shrink no more than 3%. This minimal shrinkage means you can count on your quilt cotton to remain sturdy and sizable.
